Default CEL Code P1157

Okay, I changed the oem A/F sensor since it was seized into the oem header and couldnt remove it. I kept the harness/plug and spliced it into a Bosch sensor and it worked for a few miles and then got a CEL with code P1157.

this is what I got as a description: P1157 Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Range/Performance Problem

Range? Performance? Im wondering if I connected the wrong wires? Does anyone know which is the ground wire and which is the sender wire on the oem sensor?

Thanks!

are you sure that the output voltages for the stock sensor and the bosch sensor are the same? they are so small, that if they are not the same, it would throw a code.

also, the splice connection could be the issue. because of the low voltages, any losses due to poor connection could be your gremlin

Universal O2 sensors save you money, but cost you headaches. Get an OEM sensor and be done with it.

Yeah, i know! My 'local' honda dealers are ranging between $265-$300 for an oem sensor and it would take a few days to get here! That is what Im faced with.
I understand it will be easier and Ive looked around for a cheaper one and i found one in a Chicago Honda dealer...$180. Better but still...its a sensor!
I have a friend at a Toyota dealer trying to hook me up with one of his friends at Honda to try to cover it under warranty...it is an '07. So we will see what happens!

Still...does anyone know which wire is what? I went off the diagram on the bosch plug and it seemed to work. The plug itself is a bit bigger than the oem one, btw.

Thanks!

yeah finding an '06-'07 wont be easy but ill look around.

i saw the for sale post but '06-'07 use diff sensors than the others so i cant use them. I found plenty of sensors that fit directly to those at diff auto parts stores but i need an '06-'07 or it will throw a CEL....like it is right now.

Thanks though!
