Default CEL in cold weather?

Installed the blower in Sept of last year.... Ran great until i put it away in Nov. I started it up here and there in the winter cold as usual. Now the CEL comes on randomly and I re-set it by disconnecting the neg. terminal on the battery. It throws a CEL sometimes at startup (cold), and sometimes when fully warm and sitting at a traffic light (warm). has me confused I'll check my ESM wiring to be sure its all ok to hopefully rule out the SC installation... any ideas? I wanna get this straightened out before I go and boost on it I think ill head over to AAp and get the code checked out.... thanks for the help

Stop clearing the code, you're never going to fix it unless you get the DTC and freeze data stored in the PCM.

Get the code, and we can give you a direction on things to check.

I've never understood why people do this. They get a CEL, and just clear it thinking it's gonna magically go away. And when it comes back, they keep just trying to clear it and hope it goes away!

Then they post on the forums and say "i got a CEL, what is it?". The ANSWER will ALWAYS BE:

as long as the CEL isn't flashing, then go get the code pulled and post it here.

There's a reason I have a code reader at home...

The cel doesn't turn on just to look pretty.

I know what you all are saying, as most of us aren't new to OBD2 technology..... I clear the code so I can enter VTEC...

Ill get it run and find the number for it... I just thought maybe somebody has had the same trouble

How can we know if we've had the same trouble if we don't know what the code is?
