Question CEL just came on and engine shake

Can anyone tell what this may be? My car was running perfect until this morning. I started it and it took a little mre time to catch on the start (cold morning) But the engine started to shake a bit. Then my CEL came on. I checked my oil which was low so I thought that may be it although I just had my il changed not too long ago. Put 2 qrts in it checked again oil was fine. But engine still shakes and CEL still on. My right back muffler making a little bit of sound too. I do know I need a new air filter which I have on order but not sure what else it may be. I dread taking it into Honda but dotn know if a normal mechanic would know much about the S2k. HELP

I should add that the car now has 97K miles on it..

Engine not making a noise really just a lateral shake and its worse at idle than running. Althougth I dont want to go far with the car.

Go to AutoZone or one of those stores and have them read the check engine code. Without that, you can't proceed.

I have an Autozone nearby that I got the oil from so thats an option they didnt strike me as the type that would even know how to do that though. Might wait until later when they have more workers.

It will take all of two minutes. I suggest going now, so you can start to fix this ASAP...or make an appointment at the dealer.

Without getting a code you won't know. Could be something easy to fix, could be something nasty.

sounds like a misfire, but like everyone said, won't know for sure till you pull the code.
Misfire codes are P0301, 302, 303, 304 for respective cylinders.

If your CEL is blinking don't start or drive the car.
