cel p0141
so i checked my cel by using the paper clip test and it show 6 long 5 short which is p0141. i got myself a replacement ngk o2 sensor and it is still throwing p0141 code 5 secs after i turn on the engine after i did an ecu restart via the fuse! what should i do next? is it possible to mistakinly plug my o2 sensor femaale plug into another plug or is there only one male plug for the o2 sensor? do i have to bring it to a shop and get them to clear the code and lose another 60 dollars?
by the way, when i was using the paper clip method i noticed that my abs light was flashing 2 different codes and my eps light is flashing 1 code...not sure if its related to the p0141 code or not.
hellp i need to pass emission in 7 days...=.=

My car just threw the p0131 code which means that the 02 sensor is going bad, i replaced that today when my part came in and the code was gone. Im not sure if their is anything that you can incorrecly plug an 02 into.. Anyways instead of doing the paper clip method you can go to an autozone and have them put on the code reader. That's what i did before i bought my own scanner. Its not a good idea to just get the code deleted, its just going to show up again if you dont fix the problem. Also which sensor did you replace? I believe that code means that the second sensor is going bad. The one after the cat. If you just want to get rid of the light, you can just unplug the battery for about 20 minutes and that should clear the code into the car goes into another drive cycle. My toyota celica threw up the P0420 code which is a bad cat, instead of replacing the cat i pulled the battery to make the light go away for about 600 miles, until i got it replaced.
The secondary o2 sensor is actually in the cat, not after it. I'm pretty sure P0141 is the secondary sensor in the cat. Did you replace that sensor or the primary in the header? What happened to me might have happened to you. The honeycomb in my cat broke loose and hammered into the o2 sensor snapping the tip off. Pull out the sensor in the cat and take a look. Sometimes you can just clean it, slap it back in, and reset the ecu.
