Default CEL code P0123 Top Dead Center Position 1 Sensor

Hello all. I have an 02 S2000 completely stock with 70k miles on it. I have not driven it in over a week. Today when I started it up it ran really rough and a blinking cel came on. I immediately shut it down and used the modifry method of jumping the port off to get 8 fast blinks. I watched 4 times to be sure it was the only code. I swapped ignition coils from cyl 1 and 4, no dice. I swapped tdc sensors and no dice. I am thinking of buying a new TDC sensor from Honda tommorow. Anyone have experience with this?

Scan the car for the proper code.

Blink codes are limited access.

TDC sensor will likely not help.

Listen to Billman.

Stop throwing $$$ away and wasting time. Get a scanner and do it right.

X3. Scanners are as cheap as 20$ and one of the best tools you can buy for modern cars.

Update, moved the the #1 coil pack to #4 and got p0304. Looking like a bad coil pack. I need to invest in a obd2 scanner...
