Default Changed diff fluid (concern)

So today i changed my diff fluid with amsoil fluid. i only had one quart on hand and when i was pumping the fluid in to the diff i spilled some (pump failed due to high viscosity and high pressure). i was still able to get fluid in to the diff using a spare pump that i had but im concerned if we had to use the full quart in the diff. i pumped until fluid started coming out of the fill hole. reading the DIY youre supposed to pump until it starts running out of the hole. should i be worried? i drove it and it feels fine and there is no more noise coming from the diff but i just want to make sure im ok before i break something.

yeah, you pump until stuff starts to come out of the hole (innuendo intentional)
