Changed the oil and :-O
So I changed the oil in MY00 today with a buddy of mine after checking the level and seeing it was low the other day...plus the oil light was flickering the day before. Went to drain it and only got about 2 quarts of very dark fluid out (I use Mobil 1 10-30)
The dipstick reading the day before didn't indicate it was that low I didn't think but either way, wow. Rather then being a dumbass and checking the oil every 2 weeks if that, I will be checking it on every fillup as you should...this should be a reminder to many!! There was a slight tick before as well, but now that disappeared.
The oil was changed approx 4k ago, so it burned almost 3 quarts in 8 months
I also got my new Pirelli snowsport 210 mounted as well, but we've had a lack of snow here lately, I am definately eager to see how they handle

This is the fifth post in the last week involving M1 and excessive consumption rates. Not that M1 and high oil consumption is new, but this seems like a pretty ominous cluster of very high M1 consumption posts in a very short period of time...
