This is the fifth post in the last week involving M1 and excessive consumption rates. Not that M1 and high oil consumption is new, but this seems like a pretty ominous cluster of very high M1 consumption posts in a very short period of time...
Maybe my car's a lucky one.

I switched to M1 at 10,000 miles and currently have 17,000...I've burned about zero oil thus far.

Check the oil in the AM, so you don't get a skewed reading.

I had an s2k here the other day and drained only two quarts out.

Can't believe both of you don't need engines.
How many miles did that S have one it? Mine as approx 88k

And you and me both

I've tried 4 different oils and M1 burned the most.

I've used 3 different mineral oils plus Mobile 1. All of the mineral oils burned very little -- mabye one 'X' on the dipstick in 4-5k miles. With M1, I used at least a quart over the same mileage.

If your oil light is flickering, you need to shut your engine off immediately!!!!

The oil light is a pressure light - no pressure, no oil flow, no lubrication. I agree with Billman & Racer.
