Default Changing Diff FLuid

going to be changing my diff fluid tomorrow..

i hear it calls for a gl5 or gl6 90weight?

is that right..

also.. how much oil do i use? so i know how much to buy

and is that what i should get or maybe somethign different?

i will be changing it at school, so the NAPA store in the school has to carry whatever i need to use.

thanks for the help

You need about 0.8 qt., so 1 bottle. There is no GL-6 fluid anymore. You can use a SAE 90 fluid, if you can find it or you can go with LE 607 as sold in the forum store or Hardtopguy. Or you can use any GL-5 multigrade that covers 75W90.
As for how much exactly to put in, you fill it till it comes out the fill hole when the car is on level ground.
There's a thread in the FAQs at the top of UTH with pics to show the whole procedure.

I'm very happy with Redline 75W90.

Mobil1 75-W90 in the silver bottle is available all over the place, and highly recommended.

My top picks, in order:

1) LE-607 (no winter, above freezing only)
2) Mobil 1 75W-90 (all-season)
3) Redline 75W-90 (all-season)
