Changing fluids n ?'s
Okay so I have my first track day ever coming up on the 23rd and I was informed of a few things I should do to the car to prepare.
I've been given advise from several people
bleed brakes
change pads
get new brake lines stainless steel? etc
I honestly have NO IDEA what I am doing. I was reading up on the bleeding the brakes and looking for a how to but the only one I found linked me to some religious thing ...

If anyone can point me in the right direction I want to do this on my own with supervision of course, but I feel the only way I am going to learn my car is hands on.
Also, in addition to those brake add's it is time for my oil change, being that the track event is less then 3 wks and I haven't hit the mileage for the oil change just the 3 month spot, so should I change it now and then change again once the track days over with or just leave it and it'll be fine for a few more weeks and during track day.
I've also only owned the car for little over 3 months and its an 04 with 23K on it and I am wondering if I should just go ahead and change other fluids as well while doing the oil or if they are fine till the manual says to change them even though the car hasn't been driven very much in the past 5yrs...
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I bottle of ATE Super Blue is surely enough to do the entire car. You'll use 3/4 -7/8 of the container.
By trial, I've found the best sequence is RF, LF, LR, RR.
Empty the master with a turkey baster.
Crack the right front bleeder, the level will start to drop. Get it a little lower, but not enough to suck air.
Fill the master to the very top with ATE blue.
Start with the right front bleeder. Attach a clear hose, and let it gravity bleed till it turns blue.
Repeat for the remaining wheels.
You'll have such a great brake pedal from the gravity bleed it will feel like the pedal is welded to the car smile.gif
I have used this procedure on countless s2ks.

I recently bought an '05 with 17,8k miles and I changed nearly all my fluids before my first time on the track. My reason was simple... I don't know who owned my car previously and what they did with it... I figured it would be smart to replace all the fluids.
How far are you from your oil change interval? If its awhile away... check your level, fill if you need to, and hit the track... if you're close, change the oil and hit the track!
