well ive just read about the new mtf stuff and were going throu the post n saw different opinons about changing fluid.

i have almost 16k on my 06 and all ive done was change the oil every 3500 miles. i havent even changed the air filter.. so i was wondering at almost 16k miles what all needs to be done for maintence

Seems to me you might be changing the oil too soon, unless your oil life is telling you to change it that frequently. On one hand its cheap to change oil, but on the other i think you're wasting your time.
I would change, based on spirited driving, some autocross and one or 2 track events:
Diff
Coolant
Brake
Trans
and engine oil when the car says it needs it.

Before track events I change all fluids, which I am sure is over kill. But i'm not gonna pay $300-400 for a track event and risk having the car mess up due to stupid fluids.

3,500 miles or 6 months (whichever comes first) using dino oil is a good interval



Absolutely no need to change the coolent on a 06 model. Unless the car is ran hard on a closed race track, the brake fluid is good to go for up to two years. It wouldn't hurt to change the transmission oil after 10-15k miles.

When it comes to the differential, a lot of members here changed the diff oil very early right after they purchased their car brand new. (within 5k miles) So definitely, the differential oil is ready to be changed.

cost me about 168 for brake flush and synthetic oil change... im lazy

which is about an hour of work if you have the car in the lift.

i flush mine every year, just because it costs me around 5 dollar and one hour
