well, i've had this since day one of owning the car, just brushed it off as the clutch buzz, but now come to think of it, wouldnt you hear clutch buzz in every gear? its a faint chattering/buzz noise heard in third gear, on decel, at any rpm. i'm guessing this has something to do with the third gear, a problem? any other ap2 owners experience this?

Hmm... I had the same exhaust problem you had, buy no problem like you're describing. Have you changed the tranny fluid yet? It can't hurt to give it a try.

 

My 2001 has clutch buzz in only a few gears, 3 and 4 I think. I'm fixing it with a HKS Hi-Power exhaust!

The mugen exhaust fixed my ringing issue.

 

I had a lot of buzzing, mostly on decel around 3k, but also some at highway speed.

As an unexpected benefit after putting on the Beatrush performance bars (front & rear), the buzzing went away! Since I put them both on at the same time, I can't tell which was more effective at supressing the buzz. Car is much quieter now!
