Check engine light in 95 Civic
My G/F's 95 Civic EX has been throwing up a check engine light. How can I find out what the code is?
And yes, I have checked the gas cap.

The ECU has a light on it, and should be located under the carpet in the footwell of the passenger side. Pull the carpet back and there is an inspection hole to see the light. When you turn the key to the ign on position, the light will flash a number of times in sequence. If there is more than one code, it will flash one first followed by the second. like two blinks <pause> followed by five blinks <pause> then repeats, would be code 2 and 5.
Then you've got to find someone with the definition of the codes. Does anyone know if the codes are consistent across the Honda product lines? Do you think the codes for my '88 integra would match the '95 civic codes?
I know im new to the board just purchased my s2k today red/black,But i do own a 95 civic cp running 400hp on NOS.Your car is OBDI and uses a flashing code ,but it is not on the ECU.What you have to do is above the right side kick panel you will find a few harnesses not plugged into anything your are looking for a 2 pin plug .You then take a paperclip and make a U out of it and connect the 2 pins together .Turn your ignition on and your check engine light should flash the code.If you purchase a Chilton repair manual from any local parts store it will list the codes .Then you can use the manual to repair the car.It will also show you how the same 2 pin connector is used to change the timing.Hope this helps .

Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately I was not able to check it before I left to go to my parents in Sun Valley, ID for christmas.
When I return this will be one of the first things I take care of.
To top it off the car (civic) was broken into on Thursday so I have a broken passenger window to fix too
The only took the stereo which was a 5+ year old middle of the line sony cd player, Not a huge loss, but shitty none-the-less.
So can either of you guys tell me if I can replace the passenger window myself?
