Question Check engine light after jump start

Original owner 2005 61k miles.
Car would not start. Battery showed 10 volts. Jump started from another car. The check engine light came on and stayed on. I realize it could be a lot of things but I wonder if it could be related to the low voltage? Can I drive the car about 25 miles to get it checked out?

Yup. Then, go get CEL read ASAP. But, sounds like a dead battery error.

If it damaged the alternator/regulator you should see flickering gauge lights
