i may not have ever noticed before but yesterday i noticed the check engine light blinks when i turn the car on for like 10 sec then goes off .. should i be worried or get it checked ? or is it just something that ive never noticed

 

I'm pretty confident that is NOT your CEL (Check Engine Light). It's probably just your maintenance reminder letting you know that you should take it in for an oil change or something. Look in your manual.

If it is truly your CEL flashing, STOP DRIVING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. A CEL that's on might be driveable in the short term, but a flashing one is bad bad bad.

 

If it stops flashing and goes out you're good.

 

That's the maintenance light. Not CEL.
