Also, I too have been getting the codes, not sure if they're my injectors but I do know my valves are tapping. Id get it and clear it only for it to come back on (manually cleared it twice after reading the code both times), but I then shook the air filter (should be getting a new one this week) which was very dirty and well, 5 trips and 80 miles later no light. So for you gearheads out there, is it plausible that a dirty air filter can lead to this misfire?
I'm curious since nobody offered that as a possibility since the symptoms of a rough idle and a richer smell out of the tailpipe can be attributed to a bad filter (correct me if Im wrong).
Not too sure about how the air filter would affect this, in my case there was a reasonable amount of activity for air filter maintenance. I'll offer my maintenance records relative to the air filter and activities for trouble shooting my misfires at idle. Unless you think additional dirt is getting in to foul the injectors I'm not sure how the air filter would contribute. I had both a new air filter and MAP sensor at the same time and it still had the problem. Both were replace at 48, 625 miles.

BTW - the date on the bottom row should be 24-Jun-06, I had copied the row from above and did not change the date when I made that entry.

An interesting note on this table is that at 48,131 miles I did a valve adjustment, reset the ECU and thought it was running better. Then at 48,400 you can see another trouble shoot entry.

This is a small subset of my full maintenance record spread sheet, only posting records associated with this post.

Interesting, in your case it seems to be the injector that got rid of it.

Mine came back today when I was backing out of the driveway. Going back to the mechanic tomorrrow to see if it is the same random misfire code thats being thrown.

I knew these CEL lights linking to misfiring was common in S2k's but damn, its like a nation wide issue that seems to be unbelievably common. Coming from a turbo car, i thought that N/A would be less touchy feely. =)

Indeed, my code came on recently too and just popped back on today, but got the appointment to take it into Honda with requests to change the injectors, valve adjustment, and some other maitenance with the air filter ordered. But I am also considering to just have them do a diagnostic and have them determine whats wrong...
