check fuel cap warning
Hello,
After I picked up my car from the autobody shop and drove for like 5 minutes. The "check fuel cap" lid up.
I tried relocking the cap but the warning still comes up. Any ideas? Bad cap?
Btw, the shop repainted my front & rear bumpers.

^^^^^You have to reset your oil life monitor to get rid of the flashing "maintance req" light.
•- Put the key in the ignition and in the "OFF/LOCKED" Position.
•- Hold the Trip/Reset Button on the right bottom corner of your gauge cluster (see pic)
•- Now - Turn key to the "ON" Position while continuing to hold the Trip/Reset Button till the light goes off.
•***If the light is still at the "blinking" stage and not yet solid - continue to Hold the button for around 25-30 seconds just to make sure it resets. ***

"Maint reqd" light has nothing to do with the fuel cap. totally not related.
Touge, your car just needs a light reset. ck the manual.
tntrac, you have a pending (no CEL) P1456 code. In other words, if you dont fix the evap leak (usually gas cap) your CEL will come on.
Give it time, if your cap was leakintg vapor, it will take a short time for the ECU to realize the problem is fixed and to turn off the loose gas cap light.
