Default Chips VS Fuel computers?

Hey everyone. I am a new S2K owner, 2003 Spa Yellow. I am starting to do some work to my ride, side strakes, front chin spoiler, grillie inserts, cold air induction and a borla cat back system. Just waiting on the last of the parts then going to install them next weekend! Can't wait, hate having a stock car however bad ass it is.

Anyhow I am looking at doing some work to the computer system next. Sall a thread a while back about a fuel computer system, but can't find it now. Was looking at some ideas for getting some more HP through my computer system. I had a HyperTech power programmer on my old Z28 and looking for something for my S2K. Any ideas would be great.

Also any NM S2Kers out there?

Thanks for the help.

on here mainly the vafc's are used for certain light tuning(cai, exhaust etc) and for heavy tuning i hear the AEM ems is recommended.
also im sure some1 will tell you to put your vin in, so i'll get there first. Put it in your name doesnt say enthusiast(like mine :-( ) like mine so press start in the top left and add your vin.

There is nothing that you can do to or with this car's stock ECU - no chip, no programming, nothing. You can get a "piggy-back" unit like the VAFC or replace the ECU entirely with one of a few aftermarket units. Quite expensive and needs proper tuning to just make them work and more to get any good gains.

Chips are never a good option for any car, unless used strictly to raise a rev limiter. So a company sends you a chip that will bump the timing, add fuel, whatever. That is not important, what is important is knowing how certain parameters are running to start with and then make the changes from there. Just because you have a particular car does not mean a "1 size fits all" chip will work in your car like it does in the guys down the street.
