Default Clear Side Markers Bulb Color?

Hello,

I have a black 2006 Honda S2000 AP2 and I just got a set of clear sider markers. I watched YouTube videos and people keep the clear bulbs but I was wondering if getting amber bulbs would look better?

Thank you

The Amber bulbs might also comply with laws a little better. At the very very least, an amber bulb flashing at night will clearly mean "I'm turning" to another motorist, where a clear/white one might cause a very small amount of confusion to some. I've used amber.

I used amber LEDs. They only light when you turn on the flasher, so why would you use clear? If its just so you don't see an amber bulb color, the amber led doesn't really look amber when its not lit up.

My clear side markers have "silvered" amber bulbs. They have a silver colored coating on the outside but light up amber. That way they don't stand out behind the clear lens when off.

Side markers? Thought these were turn signals since that's the only time they're visible. Proper turn signals are amber or red, not white, and red is only valid on the rear of the car.

Technically, they're called turn signal repeaters.

You can choose from standard orange or silver-white coated (Osram Diadem e.g.) that flash orange when in use.

Get yellow LEDs so you don't have to remove the markers again as you're likely to break the tabs if my experience is common. My LEDs don't show any color until they illuminate yellow.

Thats why I made sure to go with LEDs. The old marker housings tabs broke, and I wanted to make sure to minimize having to remove the new ones for a bulb, and risk breaking tabs again.

Our LEDs won't show up amber behind clear lenses and flash amber. Here's a pic:
