Default click click click

Started to notice a clicking sound in the rear when turning. I think it's the rear diff, but doing research, some people say it's dryboots. It's an 04, 47k miles. Guess I should take it to a shop. Bought a used warranty, but I'm guessing those warranties don't cover preventative maintenance =)

If the click is right when starting in first or reverse it could just be the nut on the end of the axle needing to be retorqued. When it happened to me it was only one click so if yours is more its not this I believe.

Thanks I'll drive it around tomorrow some. It does seem to happen when I'm in first and slowly moving forward. Nut at the end of axl, that's something that we can get at? I hate getting under my car lol. It's so low =)

I'm pretty sure it's all years for the rear axle nut TSB. Also, today me and my buddy both took our rear axle nuts off MY02 and his
'00. It only takes 5 minutes or less per car. BTW you don't have to unstake the nut when taking it off, it will come off. Don't forget to restake the nut when you put it back on.

When taking very hard corners when Autox-ing my S2K, I notice a clicking sound from either of the rear wheels when in the corner. I never hear the clicking unless I'm pushing the car very hard. Is this a symptom of loose rear axle nuts?

axle nuts are almost always the issue. It is very easy to do, remove the indentation in the nut(unstake) so that you can screw it off, grease the face and tighten past the original stake mark to the 2 oclock position or 240 ft/lbs.
