Try to analyze when the ticking occurs. If it occurs only when starting out or if it occurs when rolling. Could be something as simple as a rock or nail or screw stuck in the tread if it's when rolling. Anyone check this out?

They did this in my car as well, so far it seems to have gone. But if it comes back, I will try the wheel weights, as I believe there was an issue with them before and I had them rebalanced early this summer.

In this case, disregard the object stuck in the tread idea.
Other possibilities:
-CV joint
-rear diff
-brake components shifting when first taking off
-and cannot eliminate the hub nut even though it's been "fixed".

i had the clicking. turned out that there was dirt between where the wheel and hub joined which meant that the joint was not perfect and the wheel would "roll" on the dirt within the tolerances of the hub bolts.

clean the area really good.

So this original clicking sound could have dealt with the CV joints from the get go ?

This was always a possibility.

The axle spindle nuts need to be replaced and retorqued. There is a TSB on this. I had it done on mine and the noise went away.
