Default Clicking noise from engine when cooling

Is this normal? Mechanic from dealer said it was because of coating they put on intake & exhaust. That it would go away after its broken in.

Clicking and Ticking are different.

Engine and Exhaust are different.

If it's Ticking from the under the car as it's cooling off from a drive as you walk away, it's normal.

It's the metal cooling off and retracting and the Catalytic Converter.

If it's Clicking from the engine, who knows.

i have a MY07 with 2,500 miles on it and it makes a ticking noise every 30-60 seconds immediately after i shut off the car after relatively aggressive driving. this goes on for a couple minutes and then stops. i remember my dad's harley would do the same thing, so i'm guessing it's "normal" for this car, but who knows.
