Hey,
Ive started my car for the last few days...maybe going on 5 now...and its not starting up right away. It clicks over, but then does a chug a lug thing for a few rounds and then begins to idle. Anyone know what thats symptoms of?

Your description of the sound is worse than useless. I honestly have no real idea what you're talking about. Posting a video of your car while it is having the problem is about the only thing you can do if you want us to be able to attempt to diagnose your problem accurately.

YA...i was wondering if it was the climate too...but its just not very cold. Its been cold up here on and off for a couple months and it wasnt having a problem. Now..the temp is probably about 75 degrees, so I dont think that is the problem.

Sorry 90crvtec but i have never really taken a course on engine sound litterature. Basically, it makes the sound like the car dying when you stop without pressing the clutch. Kinda goes in and out a few times then goes to idle.

Sort of like a glug chugga lugga woogie whooo... Bow Chika Wow Woaw. <<---thats the porno tune at the end. Thats what my car sounds like every time I turn it on...cause you know women come running for the men in the S.

ECU has to adjust when it gets warm too, so cold weather isn't so important. If the climate schanged, the ECU has to deal, hotter, colder, more humid, etc. Ever cleaned your intake manifold? How many miles do you have on the car?

There's a dead cat under your hood. The clug, glug, clug, glug is it's head slapping the underside of the hood and the ground as it goes around!

Based on the further description of clugs and dead cats I would:

1) check the air filter and change it if it's dirty

2) either perform the map whack or take the map sensor off, clean it, and put it back on the IM

3) reset the ECU and perform an idle relearn to see if your startup symptoms subside
