Hey Silver9k, I started to noticed the same noise/clunk symtoms too. I can hear it when I'm rolling down the ramp in my parking garage while in nuetral and at slow speeds. It's not the Axle nut thing because I did that fix about 4 months ago and that cured the click I had going from reverse to forward or vice-versa. This clunk is something entirely different and it only happens at slow speeds and while turning. Rolling straight, it does not make the noise.

It's got to be in the diff. The good news is that I'm not bothered by it. When and if my diff blows, I'll get another and rebuild mine with a 4.44 gear set.

Ya, I plan to rebuild mine too eventually...I'm also not THAT worried about this noise due to its circumstances...but I wouldn't mind it going away.

Anyway...I think I'm going to buy diff fluid and tranny fluid today and change them sometime soon...not that it'll be the cure but I need it anyway.

Cool. Well, I'll just live vicariously through you and when you find a solution to the noise, let us know .

hmm...well I'll watch how much stuff comes out when I change the fluid then...

I know I don't have enough money to get a new diff right now, and the car is out of warrenty now at 53800 miles...I'll just rebuild or get a new diff somewhere down the line, get my cryo'd 4.57 gears, comptech reenforcement stuff...or if somebody figured out a diff swap...then maybe try that...I don't want to brake another diff
