Default under the rear bumper

ok so it isnt under the hood
but it is a bit technical
I bought recently a year 00 s2k
the rear bumper wobbles at both ends , near the rear wheels
there is a black fixing pin that locates it to the metal bodywork , one on both sides
this seems to have about a 1/4 inch sideways play in it where it locates to the bodywork
is this standard or is the pin worn and should be replaced?
Look forward to your insight
Paul

Here in the states I drive under a Belgium flag each day I go to work......so I feel a bond here and must give you further assistance then previously offered.

There are two attachements on each side of the rear bumper. A screw that goes up, bumper to sheet metal, and a plastic push pin that goes from front to rear, plastic to rubber (attached to sheet metal).

First verify the sheet metal screws are in place. If one or both have fallen out then the plastic pin can't take the loads. Either way here are the parts you need:

Honda Part Number 27171 (5x20) self tapping screw----if missing
205403 Grommet, Bumper Setting
27170 Clip, Bumper Setting

Total will be about US12.00

Parts are available from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...atcgry5=BUMPERS

Browning/Winchester Firearms
(Parent Company FN Herstal)

P.S. If you have any trouble obtaining the parts send me a PM. I send a lot of stuff to Belgium..so what's a few extra plastic clips?

follow up
just went to a honda dealer and ordered the expanding pins
by the way later models use a set screw that goes into a expanding plastic plug
but this cant go on the earlier model due to the hole needing to be square-ish
