Default Cluster Needed for 2006 S2K, Can I use AP1 Cluster

I need a new cluster for my 2006 S2k and I'm curious if I HAVE to use an AP2 cluster or if a AP1 cluster will work? If the AP1 will work, what features/things will I lose? I figured the redline would be different obviously, but wasn't sure if there were any other tradeoffs.

Also...I've had an airbag light we can't get rid of and in order to register the car I need to get rid of it...Any suggestions on where to start diagnosing? I've never done anything with diagnosing airbags so I'm a little at a loss as where to start. Thanks guys!

Yupp. No clock within an AP1. Hell my '00 didn't even have a clock on the radio! It was devoid of all things that were not essential!

Thanks! If the only thing I will lose is the clock then I'm not worried....I just wanted to make sure the AP1 one will work.

2006+ cars also use the CAN bus (car area network) to transmit engine temp data to the temp bars on the dash.
You'd probably have to replace your temp sensor with an earlier model and run a new wire to the AP1 gauge
