Default Cluster Swap

I tried searching but didnt find anything other than "can you swap clusters to lower mileage?" I have a MY00 s2k, I was wondering if i swaped out for a cluster that had the Temp, and Clock on it since this was added later, would they function on a MY00 car? Or are there more wires in the harness to the cluster when they added those features. If the thermostat that the cluster gets the temp from is built into the cluster i dont see why it wouldnt work. Anyone know for sure?

its illegal to change your odometer reading without updating you odometer paperwork. If you swapped out to lower you miles before you sell your car thats a no no, i just bought the car a month ago and am not selling it anytime soon. I wouldnt care if the speedo i bought had more miles on it than my car, i just want to know if the features would work. So its not illegal to changer your speedo, its illegal to falsify documents.

First of all, the tach is the 04+ S2k's won't go high enough for you unless you get one from outside North America. The clock would more than likely work, but the ambient temp will not since you'd also need to get the temp probe and all associated wiring.

I dont need an 04 and up cluster. Didnt they add the temp and clock in 02. therefore it would still be an ap1 gauge.
