Default Clutch advice

Hey guys, my car is going to need a clutch at some point so I've been trying to piece together a kit with an act hd pp, ap1 fw and the rest oem since evryone seems go agree us a great setup for an ap2. So, I found an act hd pressure plate and oem disc with 1k miles that is still at full (depth?) according to the service manual for $375 shipped. I was wondering how good of a deal you guys thought this was. And are there any possible issues I would run into getting a slightly used clutch kit installed?

That isnt THAT much of a savings. The level of difficulty and time it takes to replace clutch makes used parts a risk with a lot of consequence if it turns out to have a problem.

That said, if it was a better price, I would do it.

IMO, I always purchase something like a clutch new. Resurface the flywheel then you're golden.

That's what I was thinking. I'm on the edge and I wouldn't even consider it if they weren't almost new but like I said the disc is essentially new according to the service manual. Would it be worth it to buy only the pressure plate with 1k miles or should I pm the vendors for new pricing?

I would PM vendors for new pricing, No telling if or what amount of heat it was exposed to, or if it was proper matted to the clutch disc. Worst case, you will be installing a new clutch all over again, shortly.
