My clutch master cylinder is causing my clutch to slip. It is a duralast clutch master cylinder.
There is zero free play within the pedal. I compared it to a buddies CMC and it seems like my rod is almost more pushed in. I’ve tried to adjust the rod to give it more free play but the rod won’t turn AT ALL. The clutch has 4K miles on it max. When I put in this CMC I made sure to give it plenty free play.
You can see the difference between the 2 CMC’s here.
Even when over adjusted, so rod has tension, you should still be able to turn rod.
Clutch slipping is not the worst of it. You're also putting constant load on your thrust washer. You can replace clutch if it now wears out sooner that it would otherwise. Thrust washer can take out your engine.
