I really need to do mine. It's driving me crazy. I hate the feeling of a slipping clutch

Has anyone noticed any differences like faster or smoother clutch engagement in non-spiritied or lazy street driving, such as easing of the line in 1st gear? Or is the difference after CDV-ectomy only noticable when shifting near redline?

I know this may sound wierd, but I find no slipping or delay when shifting at or around redline. However, when shifting at low rpms, it seems be extra slow, takes a brief pause before I can get hard on the gas (otherwise feels like its slipping).

its so funny someone else with an 06 mentioned this!! i feel the same exact way. if i take it to redline and shift pretty hard, there is not really any delay, but grabs very hard, even all the way at 8k rpm. buuut, in lower rpms, i sometimes to feel a delay, like you said, lazy driving. i shift pretty smooth at around 7k rpm almost at wot, and i can feel a very slight delay, but no clutch slip. maybe the 06's just drive differently, i dont know.

I don't know about you guys but in normal driving, I don't sense a delay at all. It's when I take the car to redline and shift fast fast is when I sense the slipping clutch and it drives me crazy. It's like I can picture the clutch just being torn to pieces.

But it's funny though... when I'm shifting and thinking about delaying a little myself (so as to let the RPM's drop a little), there is no slippage at all. It's a nice firm grip into the next gear but I feel that the shifts are slower because of the forced delay and that drives me crazy as well.

hmmm, this all just might be driver technique.

Oh yeah... of course it is driver technique, but it's just annoying because it feels like the CDV is holding me back from shifting as fast as I could shift and that hurts when it comes to ET at the 1/4. I might just have to take it out to see how it works out for me.
