Can I just put water in my reservoir instead of DOT 4 brake fluid?

It was a troll post sorry lol. Just frustrated, I got stranded at work yesterday because my CMC bled out so I had to have it towed.

Of course there is the true story of a guy flying (I want to say it was a Cessna Skylane) his plane when he experienced a hydraulic fluid loss (not sure why) so he urinated in the system to get the landing gear down. It worked.

AAA is a lifesaver. Best money I've ever spent. Haha.

I mean... in a pinch, fluids are more or less incompressible... if you can work the bubbles out, and don't need to worry about lubrication, boiling over, etc, it can work.

Accessible in the cabin. I believe the rear gears are the ones hydraulically actuated. I needs to be visible for preflight inspection.

I have USAA so it was a free tow thankfully. I was able to refill the reservoir and fix the car but now I need to find the leak :/

Thanks Billman,

I tried this tonight, drove the car about 10 miles and checked the fluid, it looked pretty clean.
Parts stores were closed so i went to WalMart and the only kind they had was SuperTech DOT 3,
figured that was good enough because i was going to change a few times as the fluid is original.
I have a 2002 S-2000 with 34800 miles on it.
I will get the Honda DOT 3 tomorrow and change it again.
