And for direct sale rather than have different tooling they ground the Honda logo off. Seems odd doing it that way but I have seen multiple people post about it.
The disc from the kit I bought had the HONDA logo on it. The pressure plate did not. The bearings only had the NACHI mark.

Kit disc on the right. Disc bought at the dealer on the left.

Without getting into the weeds on this...

There's no easy way I know of to tell if the aftermarket FCC parts are the same as the ones Honda sells.

They are, however, proven to be perfectly fine to use.

However, a Sachs or other aftermarket FCC kit can be bought for like $300-500. Ballade sells this for like $750-800 and advertises them as "Genuine Honda". I don't even know if that is legal lol

Sometimes an OE manufacturer has to remove Honda logo to sell it to anyone other than Honda. When you see that done, its actually evidence its literally genuine part, just logo ground off.

A part without logo, but from OE supplier, could theoretically be slightly different than Honda spec'd part. But for such low volume parts its difficult to imagine tooling costs or even sourcing cheaper materials would pay off.
