Clutch Master Cylinder Question
Just want to ask you guys a quick question.
Yesterday, I ran the wire to relocate my battery and had to remove the plastic trim panel that covers the ECU. When done, I cleaned that piece and reinstalled. Today, I went out to straighten the wire I ran just a bit and noticed two drip/run spots on the trim piece so I automatically assume thats the CMC. So, I grabbed a shop towel and touched the back of the cmc and it had enough fluid to make a wet spot about the size of a dime. Do I need to go ahead and replace the master cylinder? Not sure if it matters, but the car is an 05 with a little over 30k miles on her. Would it be okay to wait about a week or so until I get my new clutch installed or should I just do it now and get it out of the way?
Thanks

If the fluid is old, then replace it and bleed the system. If you can't do a full change, then at least remove the fluid in the reservoir with a turkey baster and replace it. Some fresh fluid has been known to stop this kind of leak.
