clutch problem
i have ap1 with intake an exhaust an competition clutch 6puck ironman disc an when i crank up the car an let it idle it sounds like a spring is gettin slung around in there the car shifts fine when you put your on the clutch the noise is not as loud an you can feel like a metal on metal grind through the pedal could it be jus a spring? just lookin b4 for i tear it down an be a timely process an wanna make sure i get all the parts lmk if anyone had same problem or know what it could be , thanks
its prolly got maybe 8k miles on entire clutch when all new was installed. Could the throwout bearing be bouncing around in there? (is that possible an still shift fine ?) driving the car drives fine jus doesnt sound good lol what can cause the throwout bearing to go out?
Could be the pressure plate broke a finger...or the throwout bearing, it needs to be properly greased with super high temp urea grease on install or it will cause problems with shifting. Did you replace the throwout bearing at the last clutch changeout?
