i have ap1 with intake an exhaust an competition clutch 6puck ironman disc an when i crank up the car an let it idle it sounds like a spring is gettin slung around in there the car shifts fine when you put your on the clutch the noise is not as loud an you can feel like a metal on metal grind through the pedal could it be jus a spring? just lookin b4 for i tear it down an be a timely process an wanna make sure i get all the parts lmk if anyone had same problem or know what it could be , thanks

 

i would take it apart and check it out before driving it more. a good tranny don't come by easy. i have a piece of metal holding the spring on the clutch in broke before and didnt notice it. no noise at all. only problem was shifting was made more diffecult. when i put my clutch out. thats the first thing the drop onto me. so take it apart and make sure you got no metal going around. shifts fine its a maybe 6,000 mile on new tranny from dealer under warranty so i kno thats good coming apart with in the next week jus try get ppl's ideas an opinion to have a go to things to check

 

did you check the throw out bearing?

 

not yet got a friend mechanic doing it so try get an idea of what i may need to buy when i push in the clutch its quieter but when let off the clutch pedal sounds like a grind some where
