Default Clutch Problems - Video included.

Hey all, I've been having problems with my clutch for a little while, first the pedal was had to press when changing gear from high revs and now its still sticking but also slipping a bit when I put my foot down above 5k revs much like this post.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/985...anks-everyone/

So far I've bought a replacement clutch slave cylinder from ebay from an '06 car with (apparently) only 36k on the clock. It did stop sticking for a little while but now the problem has returned.

I've just finished bleeding the clutch fluid and that's also not really made much of a difference.

I have quite a lot of play in my clutch pedal and wonder if this maybe the problem.

I've tested the clutch by starting the car, putting it into 3rd gear with the hand break on and slowly releasing the clutch pedal. It shudders and then stalls so it seems the clutch it's self is okay..

The clutch master cylinder does look pretty worn by the play it has in the below video, any thoughts?

You have a little bit of slop on the pedal, you could adjust it a bit but that's not the cause of your problem.

I'm not sure what would make pressing the clutch pedal harder to be honest but for what its worth your clutch master cylinder is leaking.
When it looks black and gunky like that it is no bueno.

How many miles are on your car? Stock clutch? How many miles on the clutch, etc?

What is slipping? The clutch or pedal? If the clutch is slipping and pedal seems harder to push ---> could need a new clutch disc.

Adjust the freeplay to return the pedal stroke to the factory setting. Make sure that you bled the clutch well enough before doing this.

You may need a clutch and release bearing guide sleeve. How many miles are on it?

the car is a 2006 with 68000 miles on the clock, everything on the car is standard and it's still on the original clutch as far as I know.

The clutch operates fine as far as feel goes, and is fine at low revs, when I try to accelerate from a stop hard that it seems to lag and it also slips if I'm driving down the motorway at say 70mph in 5th gear and I put my foot down. It'll rev really high without delivering any power.

That's caused by a weak pressure plate, not clutch disk, if it was the disk slipping you'd smell it.
