I'm replacing my clutch. I have done every step besides messing with the steering shaft and I only dropped the subframe 2" instead of 3". Last step, I go to disengage the release fork from the throwout bearing and it won't budge. I've used my hands, vise grips, pliers, I even tried to smack it with a mallot and it won't move a single centimeter. Help?!

Well yeah obviously. In the first post, I said I'm replacing the clutch. I wouldn't be messing with the release fork if I wasn't taking the tranny off. Hopefully Billman will see this.
Sometimes the release lever, itself, is a source of rattling noise. Just leave the release lever on the tranny. Pull tranny out and then remove lever and throwout bearing. At least, that's what I'd do...
Good luck on the fix!
