Default Clutch Removal...

Alright, so I got the starter bolt out....which was very simple. I don't see why people are so iffy about it, and yes...without removing the knock sensor. Anyways, I removed the heat shield and the upper part covering the exhaust manifold. I can't reach the back two bolts on the bottom half of the two piece shielding.

So, do I need to unbolt the exhaust from the block? I was looking in the DIY, and it really didn't say to or not.

Please get back with me on here or text/call me at 254 216 1711

Yes, I'm not afraid of creepers having my phone number lol, I just want some help to get the up top stuff done.

Another note, I'm sure it was the pressure plate that took a crap on me as I've found a piece on the ground that looks an awfully lot like it. Thank you ahead of time.

No you don't have to remove the header

I just completed my clutch swap, header gasket is metal, leave that on the block so you don't bend it. Put a nut back on to keep it from sliding. Drop the subframe 3" it makes life 100000 times easier, and yes, the header has to come off. I broke one of the header mounts... oops. Sheared the damn bolt head right off.

Sigh, so I didn't see the damn sensor on the manifold....how big is that? My 19 mm is the biggest I have and it sure as hell didn't fit. Wait wont a pair of vice grips work?

Sorry I just saw this. Just get an adjustable open face wrench that's what I used.

I think I used a 24mm deep well. But don't hold me to it. But yes, drop the front subframe 3". Pull the middle 2 bolts and back the outside 4 out with an impact, lowering evenly in 1" increments so as to not mar the threads or put anything in a bind

Are you talking about the primary o2 sensor? Just unplug it from the harness and leave it in the header.
