Default Clutch Replaced

So I recently had my clutch replaced with OEM parts and it does not feel the same as it had before. The clutch engages/catches within the first centimeter of travel it feels like and after about a total of an inch completely grabs leaving the following two inches of travel with near no resistance. I can depress the clutch when shifting approx 2 inches with nothing occurring. It also does not like to engage first gear from a dead stop or while slightly rolling (~3mph). The flywheel was not resurfaced as the mechanic said it did not necessitate it. What could be the problem?

...the clutch action does not feel positive at all either; there's near no resistance in the pedal feel. So I took the car home from the mechanic's and upon starting it up the next day the car refuses to go into any gear- when I try to push it into 1st it will lerch forward slightly- like the clutch isn't fully disengaged when I depress the pedal. Could all these symptoms simply be from having air in the hydraulics like stated before?

So you guys were right. The mechanic said that fluid is leaking from somewhere besides the master cylinder. Is this a cheap fix?

I have a leak in my CMC, dealer quoted me $360 for the repair. I ordered the parts for $110, and will be getting it installed by a local S2k guy for $70.

The one thing I've learned about owning the S is that you can't go cheap. Get the best, and your S will last a long time.
