Clutch Replacement...Currently have SOS clutch/fw! Can I reuse PP?
hello guys. Its that time again when I have to replace the clutch. Its chattering quite a bit lately however its still grabs and doesn't slip. The chattering when engaging is starting to bug me. I'm not sure what can cause the chattering...could it be the flywheel? could it be a worn disc? I have about 90k on the SOS setup.
Anyways, this time I am going with OEM stuff. Currently on the car is the SOS sport clutch with their 11.5 lightweight flywheel.
My question is can I re-use the SOS pressure plate? If I can't, I still have my AP2 pressure plate with only 35k miles on it, can I use that? Or is it best to just go with another pressure plate. If I do, I would go with the ACT HD PP. (Would like to save on cost but if its not worth it, I'll just get new stuff)
I'm ditching the flywheel and going with the AP1 flywheel. Also going with OEM friction disc, oem throwout bearing, pilot bearing, rear main seal, new slave (since my is leaking), clutch fork and throwout bearing guide.
My car is going to remain NA.
Thanks for any input and any suggestion. Thanks.

it depends how worn your PP is, so hard to say until you remove it and inspect it. You can get PP's resurfaced, but I hear it's not an easy job so not many people do it. probably easier, safer and quicker to just install a new PP.
