Default Clutch Slipping

Just had 1 simple question, My clutch is starting to slip and I need to replace it. I was wondering if I can just replace the clutch plate or will I have to get a whole kit? Im thinking I wont be able to tell till its taken apart but any info will be apprieciated. I think I spelled that right.

Thanks

you'll need a disk but may need a release bearing or a pilot bearing as well but you probably don't need a new pressure plate.

If you need to do it, do it right, do the clutch and disc and get a lightweight flywheel if it's in your budget.

I think my clutch is slipping too. It seems fine while driving, but my launches suck! It seems my tires wont spin as much as they used to when I dump the clutch at 6.5K! What brands are good for a whole new clutch kit, pressure plate and flywheel? Also, what flywheel weight is recommended for everyday driving but not for hard track racing? How much it cost approx. to have all this installed?

I was at 63K when my FD spring retainers broke. Clutch grip was absolutely fine though.

My previous S 70K and the clutch was fine as well.

However the Comptech Fly with ACT package feels loads better.

The right way to do it would be to replace the clutch & pressure plate.

It is a lot of work replacing a clutch. If you do it yourself you probably won't want to do it again anytime soon, so I recommend getting a whole clutch kit and a lightweight flywheel. Not sure what brand to recommend though. I put in a competition clutch but am still breaking it in and have not driven another brand clutch. If you pay someone to do it, you won't want to pay them twice to do it. Hope this helps.
