I'm going to assume that you know what you're talking about when you say that it is NOT the clutch buzz issue.
You might want to inspect the engine mounts. They are liquid filled and may be wearing out or leaking. You might also want to inspect the rubber tranny mount, too. This engine and drivetrain produces a lot of vibration under normal circumstances. The mounts are what helps to keep these vibrations from getting too far into the passenger compartment.
On the other hand, maybe your last clutch job was done improperly. Who knows. A lot of stuff got pulled off and put back on.

Will check the mounts as soon as I have chance - I too had thought about the clutch replacement work being sub-standard since nobody else seemed to have the same problem. Until I read this thread that is.

The reason I know it's not the 'usual' clutch vibration is because I've been there, experienced that and had it sorted - I am prepared to be proved wrong though (it won't be the first time )

I'll report back with my findings as soon as I have chance - maybe I will get this problem sorted at last. I hope so - its ruining the S2000 experience somewhat...

I'm thinking if it was the engine mounts, you would've felt the vibration from the floor pan more than from the pedals. I could feel extra vibration on the floor pan but not much more from the pedals when I had 40% stiffer rubber engine mounts in my miata. I would think engine mount problem should not be intermittent. I tend to think your problem is probably related to the clutch. When something is broken or loosened in the clutch assembly, you may or may not get intermittent vibration, depending on where the loosened part lands the last time you released the clutch or last time you start the car.

 

Interestingly, my new clutch disc hub springs seem to be much beefier in the pics than in person. Maybe that's what happened to Reverend's as well.

BTW, my brother and I were like taking our time last nite so we didn't get very far removing parts to get to the clutch.

 

So, our clutch job was done and my decel buzz is totally gone for now. I'll see how long that'll last and perhaps report back here later.

 

I still have the vibration 3 years later, no better, no worse. For those that have swapped the disk, did it get rid of the vibration. I am still not talking about the decell buzz. The vibration/tingle is at constant speed.
