clutch/wheelhop?
well i finally finished breaking in the clutch today. i have the act clutch, act flywheel, act pressure plate, and a SS clutch line. well i was driving around mostly just doing 45 mph pulls in second just for fun. i was at a light and nobody around so i figured id just go from first. i didnt launch it just went out normal then i hit it. rpms went up and i shifted at 9k and when i shifted to second, it felt like wheel hop, but the rpms didnt go up like the tires were spinning. i maby did it for a 2 seconds and then it caught and went like went to redline again. what im wondering is it wheelhop or maby the clutch catching and slipping then catching agian doing that a few times and it just feels like wheel hop?? i did it again in 3rd gear but jsut did it once. not at all like in second. almost like it chirped 3rd. but the same wheel hop feeling, but only hopping once. i shifted pretty hard. so what do you guys think?? thanks!!
I got my buddy here to do it. he works at meinake so we had a lift to do it on. i broke it in for 500 miles, act recommended 300 so i broke it in extra time. so idk. it was about 40~45 degrees out so maby that had somethin to do with it??
well i went out today and tried a few things. i went out and i got on it and when i shifted from 1st to 2nd i jerked the wheel a little bit to see if it would go sideways a bit to see if it broke loose. it did get a little sideways but the wheels were keep hopping. so im still not 100% if its clutch or wheelhop.
another thing i noticed when i shifted and it started hopping the revs dropped and went up and down maby 250-500 rpm differnce for a few times. so that got me thinking it is wheel hop again.
so im 90% sure it is wheel hop. just trying to get a second opinion. any ideas???

check the tire pressure between sides. It happens to me when one tire has more traction than the other and an oscillation occurs. The technical reason it happens is mostly due to flex from the rubber bushings in the suspension components, but a lot of the problems can be helped or prevented by changing tire pressure and/or tires.
