Default Code P1367

OK guys so i bought my S with this code, ive been a lurker for a long time and have read lots of threads, but since all that ive read i decided to post because my case is different in a BIG matter, i put the scanner and get code P1367 i know its for the TDC the weird part is the unlike everyone else that has this code... i can still rev up, past 3,000rpm. Reset the code still pops anyway, and i still can rev past 3,000... Anythoughts?

Thanks in advance guys

Have you checked the sensors and their connections? Have you checked to make sure the vehicle is 100% in time? Are you stock running a stock ECU? There are so many details that you've left out that it'd all just be a big wild guess.

- Check sensor connections
- Try using a different sensor (borrow from a local S2000)
- Did you spill any fluids in the sensor area?

Well my engine is 100% stock, mechanic told me that the plugs where broken and yes it did have fluids in that area, i currently have my engine out of the car (painting whole car) we will put engine back in today, already replaced the conectors and cleaned everything up, hopefully those code will be eliminated! Thanks for the help!

Hey guys just to update you guys, problem was fixes by changing the plug for the sensor! code went away! and everything is ok now! So just like all the other post indicate, always check the conectors.

However never got around to see way i had the code, but was able to rev past 3K rpm. but dont care know, since my engine is ok now.
