COLD START PROBLEMS!
So I have been driving my S2000 this winter and a few times after work (car parked outside for 8 hours) I will go to start up the car, it will shoot up to regular idle around 2000rpm then a second later it will just stall. Then I have to start the engine up again and it seems to be fine. Anyone have any ideas why on the initial start it stalls like that? Could it be cause the temperatures outside are to cold? I believe on Friday it was around -17 degrees farenheit, around -27 celcius.

for Blizzak WS-60's, what a great winter tire. No problems at all and we had about a 6 inch dump of snow on Friday.

it's probably your ECU just re-learning itself. if there's a climate change during the last time you drove the car, the ecu will have to re-learn the new conditions it's running in, and will adjust itself to get the proper a/f ratio.
in some cases it won't learn fast enough and stall for a few times.
i'm curious to know what temps 5w-30 is rated for. -17 degrees might call for a different viscosity of engine oil.

From what I've read and what people told me 5w-30 is rated for upto -30 degree celcius, the last few days here have been between -30 and -40 including the windchill so that could possibly be the problem.
