hey guys i recentley just got a compression tester from pepboys and did a compression test on my 01 and my buddys 04 ap2. there was weird noise with the tester though. it had a loud squeek every stroke only most of the cylinders on both cars. i have done a compression test preivously on my car and it didnt make that sound at all. im just wondering if they need a weird break in period or something stupid in which it always is.

my ap1 numbers with 73k wher 230 230 230 229

my buddys ap2 with 52k was 240 240 240 240.


let me know what if my ap1 numbers are good. i do burn a good amount of oil but me and his ap2 are side by side from a 45 mph up till 120. exact same mods on both cars.

 

your compression numbers are in line with what other s2k's i've seen test for compression, and seeing as your comporession is basically perfect, yes it is 100% ok.

 

your good. i just wonder why does your car sparkplugs one range colder? I thought they're only good on forced induction.

 

thanks guys, i also went through 10, 10lb bottle of nitrous on a 75 shot and my numbers are still like that. im extremely impressed with it. i actually made 231whp and 160tq at innovative on a very similar setup. i had k an short ram and 70mm t1r v3. now im just greddy tic 70mm and aem v2 cold air. im not 100 percent sure about why i have colder plugs. i know i had them for nitrous but even na can yeild you gains...i know gernby can tell you why. he reccomened them to me about a 9 months and have like them single.

Also my afr's are very good as well. i get a vtec spike of 14.2 and then 13.4-13.5 all the way till about 8400 then it drops off to 11.5 before a shift. room for tuning.
