dude, i have the same problem as you. The directions i got were for a 2002 S. The components in the engine bay for the '03's are aranged a little different I found out than the pre '03 models. My airbox doesnt line up with the hood prop. I install the brackets exactly as the directions instruct too.

In Step #4 when Comptech instructs to push down on the airbox to crush the foam doesn't apply to '03 models. THe A/C lines don't have foam around as the directions imply. The A/C line appear to be welded securely in place.

Can somebody with a '03 tell me otherwise? Anybody?

What about the '03 owners with comptech CAI?

love the intake btw. it sucks i couldn't fit my hood prop though. i don't think
we should have to trim the lid.

I trimmed the base of the hood prop and it fits the lid. I trimmed 2 edges.

Read the thread buddy. The problem is installing on 2003 S200s. If you dont' have a 2003 then you wont have the problem. If you look who started this thread you will see that he has a 2003. Him and I are so far the only people that posted with 2003.

dont worry about it. It will fit your 2001 like a glove.
