Default Comptech Coilovers .....any good?

I'm trying to objectively evaluate whether I should buy the Comptech coilover system, or the brand new Bilstein Coilover system with shocks.

Does anybody have the Comptech system on their S2000?

1. If so, how does it handle/feel compared to stock?
2. How much lower can you set the car?
3. Does handling suffer when the car is dropped toward the 'lowest setting'?
4. What are the spring rates for the Comptech system?

Any other thoughts/driving impressions would be very welcomed!

Cheers,

Sime,

I love em...

1. It feels more firm than stock.

2. You can drop the car to hell.

3. Handling will suffer when the lowest setting is used because I don't think the shocks were meant to handle that stance (bottom out).

4. I forgot bud...call up comptech...

1. It feels more firm than stock but not harsh at all.
2. I believe you can drop it 1.5" to 2" more than enough
3. Like what phantom said
4. Like what phanton said

I've seen Phantom's and he didn't drop it very low (i believe it was only an inch, but i could be wrong)...they look great, I think it would be good to get them if you have the money.

Why get sleeves, when for a couple hundred more you can get coilovers?

That's what I am thinking...but I was a little unimpressed with the fact that the Bilstein's are set for softer damping than stock (got this from another review).

At $899, they're a great price and something I'm definitely going to consider.

Awwww......look at those H&R's........grgrgegrgrgregrgrg (Homer sound drooling over a donut).

Other coil-over systems to look into (without going into the super high priced arena) are:

Apexi (these are on my short list),
H&R (again on the short list),
HKS (short list),
Tein (not on the short list),
and I think that's it.

Now if I come up on some extra money in the next four months that I didn't know about before, or I won't need to use it priority items (like bills), the Mugen's are my choice!!!
