Matt (F20C),

May I ask where you got your H&R's from and what they cost you? Do you know what the spring rates are and what they are damped like?

Luder94,
Also, in the 'lower priced' area, what are the prices of the other brands you mention?

I'm getting excited now!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

Sime,

what I meant by "lower priced", I was referring to those that were in the $1000 to $1500 range.

I personally am not a big fan of the sleave and collar (coil-over) setup for stock shocks. What does interest me is a real, full coil over system. However, the drawback is that these full tuned, all race systems are over the $2200 price marker.

In steps H&R and HKS with their systems, and there you have a nicely tuned setup for everyday street use and the every other weekend racing.

H&R Coilovers:

HKS Coilovers:

Apexi N-1 Coilovers (these are an expensive option, and not yet available for S2000):

Apexi World Sport Coilovers (these are more affordable than Comptech "coilovers" and have been rumored to be available for the S2K):

The spring rates for the H&R coilovers are stamped on the springs themselves. I think there is a code something like xxx-xxx-xxx on the spring. One of these numbers will be the spring rate.

Incidentally, H&R uses Bilstien internals.

And don't think that just because shock damping is less than stock, they will be softer.
