Thumbs up Comptech Icebox Owners MY2002+

Hi all.

I recently purchased a comptech icebox used and cleaned it up really nicely but I have some inquiries before I install it.

I have the injen cold air install in pdf format so I have no problem with vacuum/coolant hose routing.

My main issue deals with the horn and the side fender bracket.

My icebox DOES have the cut out area for the horn, but due to it being used it didn't come with the horn relocation bracket.

1. Does anyone have any pics showing the horn relocated using comptech's bracket? I understand it's not rocket science to fab something up but I was just curious as to how the bracket supplied by comptech looks like. If all else fails I can use an empty hole somewhere in the bay.

2. Does anyone have pics showing the side fender bracket? Mine is missing so I simply went and got a nut, bolt, and 2 washers. Once again just curious as to what Comptech supplied.

If anyone has the pdf installation manual that would take care of any pictures I would need. I have searched but the site is down of course.

Thanks for any help.

Original seller told me he installed the box with no new front bracket. Is this not true?

Is the new front airbox mount lower or something? Or is it only necessary when using the new horn bracket for more clearance or what?

I know I could fab an L bracket easily, but I have no piece to compare to for height and other issues.

This sucks.

Anyone install their icebox without the lower front mount?

You need to take the tab off because the box will be too high. You might be able to turn it and mount the horn on it.

The fender bracket os to hold the box close to the fender of course. No real need for the bracket. It just make tightening the box to the side WAAAAY easier. I hope you have small hands.

If you don't have a fender liner it should be easier.

Thanks again for your help bro!

I was able to order all the erroneous ends and pieces from CT today

Figured it was the best idea if I want to trade/sell it.

I hate dealing with incomplete stuff. Oh well live and learn.
